Following the fantastic success of the 2024 “Shop Local Challenge,” I am excited to launch ‘Local Business Champions 2025’—a campaign dedicated to celebrating and supporting Sheffield Heeley’s small businesses. Every two months, I will introduce a new theme and invite the community to nominate outstanding local businesses.

This initiative aims to showcase the hard work, creativity, and impact of small businesses.

How It Works

Every two months, we will focus on a different type of small business.

You can then nominate your favourite businesses that fit the theme.

I will be highlighting standout businesses on social media, sharing the best stories and testimonials.

At the end of each round, we’ll feature a business that truly stands out.

Launch Theme: Home-Based Heroes

To kick off the year, we’re celebrating Sheffield Heeley’s Home-Based Heroes—businesses run from home that don’t have a physical storefront. From talented cake makers to skilled hairdressers and craft businesses, these small businesses bring incredible services and products to our community.
