Gleadless Valley Masterplan

Residents across Gleadless Valley have been let down by failure as no progress has been made to deliver a £90million transformative plan.

Since 2022, residents have been waiting to feel the benefit of the £90 million Gleadless Valley Masterplan which would transform the area by providing new and refurbished housing, creating more green spaces and investment in community facilities.

Residents who would be affected by this project have been told that their properties are to be demolished or substantially remodelled but have seen no progress. And whilst no action has been taken the money allocated for the scheme continues to dwindle further.

I’ve now written to the Green Chair of the Housing Committee, Cllr Douglas Johnson and Gleadless Valley’s three Green Councillors to express her serious concerns about the lack of delivery of the Masterplan.
